Dinosaurs | WA Museum Boola Bardip

Commissioned by CDM Studio, James was engaged to complete the detailed airbrushed finishes for a series of large-scale dinosaur models as part of the WA Museum Boola Bardip redevelopment.

Working from scientific references and approved colour concepts, the project required careful layering of colour, texture and surface detail to create realistic, lifelike finishes across multiple prehistoric creatures. The scale of the models demanded precision and consistency while working across complex three-dimensional forms.

The project demonstrates James' ability to translate detailed concepts into immersive, large-format artwork, combining technical skill with an understanding of how colour and texture contribute to the overall visitor experience.
