FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Why choose airbrush artwork over stickers?
The simple answer is longevity. Airbrush artwork will look better for longer and the price is pretty comparative.
Stickers tend to peel up at the edges while airbrush artwork is protected under a layer of clear.
Should repairs be needed (due to scrapes or denting), airbrush artwork can be repaired quite easily, whereas stickers need to be replaced completely.
How much will it cost?
Like all custom work, pricing is dependent on detail and coverage.
You also need to keep in mind costs associated with base coat and clearing, as we complete the artwork component only.
I've include a few case studies below to give you an idea of costs involved.
What does base coat and clearing mean?
The base coat gives your boat's body colour - more often than not we will be working with the existing surface. So long as it is the colour you are wanting for the background and in good condition there is no cost associated with the base coat.
Clearing or clear coat is applied over the artwork to protect it. It needs to be applied by a spray painter in a spray booth. This will be an additional cost to the artwork.
We work with a number of spray painters who can quote and advise on these services.
Can you show me what it will look like before it's done?
Sure can. As part of the process we will create a digital mock up for you to sign off on.
